The Sámi Cultural Fund, established by The Saami Council (NGO), is a cross-border initiative and invitation to strengthen and support Sámi culture, art and society—on Sámi terms. Though we are not yet distributing funds, we are laying the foundation for a future, self-sufficient resource that will empower traditional knowledge, nurture communities, and create new opportunities for Sápmi.

Our vision is to ensure that Sámi culture continues to grow, thrive, and connect across Sápmi. The Fund will support organizations, groups, and individuals who work to safeguard, revitalize, and develop Sámi cultural and creative practices.
